His Smile says it all

Only 5 years old and his first fishing trip. A fine perch caught on the worm on Derwentwater.

Charity Fund Raiser

19 paddleboarders navigated the middle River Derwent on May 28th to raise money for the Save Keswick Hospital campaign. They managed to raise £346. As well as raising money they picked up rubbish along the river banks. A big thank you from K.A.A

Derwentwater Cracker

Cracking Derwentwater Brown Trout taken on the mayfly by 13 year old Edward Ross

Wild Brown Trout

April 3rd. Derwent at Portinscale high and slightly coloured no surface activity but a chance to a couple of tungsten beaded nymphs soon gained the interest of a fair few of these spotties, nice to see so many have weathered the storm.

Litter Pick on River Derwent

Good turnout of people approx 20. We collected 40 bags and 4 dumpy bags of rubbish from Portinscale bridge down river to clay holes. We started at 10.00 am and finished at 1.00 pm. A big thank you to Ian Creighton from W.C.R.T for organizing and arranging the clearance of the rubbish. A good day.

TAKE THE LEAD

We do not want to discourage people from walking their dogs in the countryside as it has health benefits for both owner and pet, but making sure your dog is on a lead near livestock prevents avoidable attacks and keeps your dog safe too.
